Dogfish Head founder and brewer honored for three decades of innovation and impact on U.S. Craft Brewing.
In a ceremony livestreamed from Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats, The American Craft Beer Hall of Fame officially inducted Founder and Brewer, Sam Calagione, to the second class of honorees, recognizing his decades‑long influence, experimental brewing spirit, and pivotal role in shaping modern craft beer culture. Joining Calagione in his accomplishment are beer industry icons Larry Bell, Garrett Oliver, Pete Slosberg, Kim Jordan, Charlie Bamforth, Teri Fahrendorf, and Carol Stoudt.
The American Craft Beer Hall of Fame recognizes brewers, founders, writers, educators, and advocates whose influence has shaped both the history and future of American craft beer.
Calagione now joins an esteemed group of industry pioneers, including our own Jim Koch, who have helped craft beer grow from niche community to nationwide cultural force. His induction reflects both his personal achievements and Dogfish Head’s lasting impact as one of the country’s most creative and influential breweries.
